	Fez is a virtual food festival and gourmet lovers will appreciate the large selection of restaurants to choose from. Restaurants in the médina range from fast food stands to gourmet dining rooms found in riads open to the public. The nouvelle ville is where you will find the large hotel dining rooms that serve traditional occidental cuisine as well as Moroccan buffets. L'Arabesque $$ - $$$
Very chic and decorated with taste, this riad restaurant is one of our favorites. Calm and relaxing, the ambiance starkly contrasts with the energy of the médina. The menu offers a large selection, servings are generous and the food is simply delicious.

Nestled in the heart of the Fez medina, this restaurant is only open for lunch. The chef proposes very original Moroccan dishes and the prices are reasonable.

Palais Mnebhi $$ - $$$
While the food served at the Mnebhi Palace may not be the best to be found in Fez the riad is simply spectacular! This palaces dates back to the 19th century and transports you back in time. Diners must call ahead with their orders as everything is prepared upon request. The terrace provides amazing views of the medina. We suggest taking dinner here rather than lunch as there are many tourist groups coming for lunch.

Restaurant of the Palais des Mérinides $$$ - $$$$$
Decorated with mosaic designs, zelliges and sculpted wood panelling, this 14th century palace is a feast for the eyes and really quite magical. Servings are generous and the selection quite impressive. Alcohol is served.
