Tourism taxes (generally not included in the room rate).
Moroccan riads ‘guesthouses’ have to collect 2 taxes upon their guests:
- Tourism Promotion Tax (TPT): the amount of the tax depends on the property category, 8 or 11 dirhams per people per night. That tax is collected by the properties and integrally put back into Morocco National Tourist Office.
- City Tax (from January 2008): like the hotels and restaurants, ‘guesthouses’ must now collect the City tax. The amount of the City tax is 15 dirhams per people (older than 12 y-o) and per night.

Located in the Medina in the area of Riad Laarouss – at the entrance of the souk and less than a 10 minute walk from the famous square of Djemaa el Fna, Les jardins de Riad Laarouse will welcome you in charming surroundings that mix traditional Moroccan crafts and contemporary design. Grey, white and orange colours emphasize the calmness and serenity of the riad. Its six rooms look onto the large bright patio. RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Jardins de Riad Laarouss will apply the following cancellation policy and will charge any applicable fees to the client credit card used during the reservation process :
-Cancellations received 21-30 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of total projected room costs.
-Cancellations received 11-20 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of total projected room costs.
-Cancellations received 0-10 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of total projected room costs.
Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card supplied during the reservation process.
