The Dar Housnia, "home of serenity", is an elegant riad situated in the heart of the Kaat Benahid quarter of the Marrakech medina. Kaat Benahid is one of the most historical and authentic neighborhoods of the medina.
Dar Housnia was lovingly renovated by the Belgian architect Christophe Siméon. Renovations were made with the utmost respect to traditional methods and Arab Andalusian architecture. The four 6 suites are unique from one another and possess their own luxurious bathrooms, completely constructed with natural taddelkat.
The sculpting, ironworks and ancient wood carvings were restored by some of the most talented artisans in the medina to their original beauty.
Fabrics of the finest quality and priceless objects found after meticulous searches in the souks and antique stores have been carefully added by the two Belgian owners, resulting in an atmosphere quite luxurious and definitely refined.
The patio is planted with palm trees and offers a shaded haven from the summer sun. Guests are invited to refresh themselves in the "swimming" basin / fountain at any hour. The basin is filtered and the water is heated when needed. The atomizer installed in the patios, the solarium terrace, the terraces and the pergola, will let you enjoy a pleasant freshness even at the height of summer.
Dar Housnia has its Hammam and Massage room to complete the services provided
A swimming pool (heated and equiped with endless current system), protected and quiet, was also open in Spring 2008
Clients of Douiria who are staying in Moucharabieh and Sabaa rooms enjoy a large lounge with an open fire and private terraces with a pergola and a view on the Atlas mountains and the Koutoubia… a small palace for oneself which is adjoining to the riyad. With all Dar Housnia’s services (hammam, pool,…)
All rooms are equipped with one large double bed that can be transformed into two twin beds if needed. Ample closet space and private bathrooms are offered in all rooms.

| We really enjoyed our stay. however on reflection the riad was very exensive in comparison with other riads. Just one real disappointment was that the crockery was very chipped - particularly the breakfast plates and cups - it didn't look brilliant. | ||

| The stay at Dar Housnia with my family was outstanding. The age range of our party was from 1 to 70 and all our needs were met by very friendly and efficient staff. | ||

| The boss of the riad wass not really interested. If we asked breakfast at 9, it became 10. If we asked a car for 5 + luggage (we explained more than needed), she orderd a small car. So we cancelled, and had to order a taxi to essouira. The staff at service were ok and vriendly. Breakfast was for a family with four puber boys to less, they were really hungry after breakfast. The dinners we asked for were really really very good, so we had very nice christmasdinners! | ||
